Etsy Seller Feature: Treasure Gypsy

Today's Etsy seller feature is on Darcy from Treasure Gypsy.

Darcy has a wonderful eclectic mix of jewelry in her shop from recycled copper to fine silver and I am in love with her pearl bomb necklaces! Darcy first started making beaded jewelry while in college and trying to earn extra money. Later on she started working with fused glass and in the past year has started taking metal smithing classes which has opened up new possibilities. The thing she loves most about making jewelry is learning new techniques. She taught herself how to etch from YouTube videos and online tutorials, and relishes coming up with new ways to re-use or re-purpose materials.

One of her favorite pieces in the shop is the Floating Pearl Ring as she feels its the most professional-looking piece she's done so far.

Darcy  is inspired by the work of other jewelers as well as anything botanical such as flowers, trees, leaves, sticks and seed pods.
Treasuer Gypsy is a new venture for Darcy, she recently started up her Etsy shop and has done some local craft shows.  Her jewelry reflects her varied interests and abilities across a span of 30 years!

Darcy's tip for crafter is to make what you love to make and put it out there. She regrets having spent far too many years being ambivalent about things she's made and not being confident about whether they are good enough to sell.

Darcy is working on her website which will be up and running soon:  www.treasuregypsy.com and she is available for custom orders.
